Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Tammy, and I am the sole proprietor of Wagg’s-N-Whisker’s Pet Sitting Service. I started pet sitting as a favor for a few friends. As it turned out there was more of a demand for in-home (yours & mine) pet care than I realized. So with a little encouragement from others I decided to create Wagg’s-N-Whisker’s Pet Sitting Service in 2001, a “Pets Stay at Home Service”, servicing the greater Binghamton, NY and surrounding areas.
My Background
I am a lifetime resident of the Greater Binghamton area, and I still reside in my childhood home with my husband Joe for over 35 years. We are pretty “lucky” that we are surrounded by 92 acres of beautiful land, our health is great and that we have had a lifetime of unconditional love surrounded by a variety of animals, from dogs, cats, bunnies, horses, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, fish, turtles, yes even snakes and the list goes on..
I have always had a passion for animals and we will always have a tribe of pets. Currently we have 10 dogs, 16 cats, 1 bird. But sadly in March 2004, we lost our faithful companion of 21 years, our horse “Sammy Joe”. He is deeply missed and will remain in our hearts forever. When I look into the pasture without t him there, it’s very upsetting. I needed to fill the void, so in the fall of 2006, I took on the biggest challenge of my life. A young untrained mare named “Molly”. Boy do I have my work cut out for me. Wish me Luck!
Our Staff
Wagg’s-N-Whisker’s staff consists of myself, my husband Joe, my son Bryan and my mother Shirley. If for any reason that I personally cannot be at your home, I have these three to depend on.
Our Hours
Wagg’s-N-Whisker’s tries to keep your pets on their own regular schedules, so our hours vary with each pet sitting job. We usually start out in the morning by 7:00 a.m. and sometimes end as late as midnight. We accept phone calls between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. (785-3186). But since we are out and about a lot, we have the answering machine on, so leave us a detailed message and we will get back to you as soon as we can. When calling in the evening, it might not be till the next day that we will return your call. Everyday is a work day for me (especially holidays) so don’t hesitate to call anytime, but not too late at night, we do need to sleep sometime….
